Remember the Official Schedule of WYD Lisbon 2023
Haven't you seen the official programme for the biggest meeting of young people from all over the world with the Pope? You're still in time! So that you can prepare for WYD Lisbon 2023, we leave you here the programme of the week with the official timetables:
The first big moment of the week will be the Opening Mass, on 1 August, at 7:00 pm, which will be presided by the Cardinal-Patriarch of Lisbon, D. Manuel Clemente, on the "Colina do Encontro" (Eduardo VII Park).
The Welcome Ceremony will be Pope Francis' first moment with young people from all over the world. Starting at 5:45 pm, this is the moment that marks the third day of WYD Lisbon 2023, on the "Colina do Encontro".
On 4 August, at 6 pm, the Way of the Cross with Pope Francis will take place, also on the "Colina do Encontro". This is the moment to follow in the footsteps of Jesus in His Passion, in one of the most symbolic moments of the week.
The penultimate day of WYD begins with the Pilgrimage to the site of the Vigil, scheduled for 8:45pm, in "Campo da Graça" (Parque Tejo). It is here that the young people and the Pope will pray and adore the Blessed Sacrament.
The closing of World Youth Day week begins at 9am with the Missioning Mass, the last of the Central Events. This ceremony will take place in "Campo da Graça", where pilgrims will stay overnight the night before to attend this moment.
In the afternoon of 6 August, as a way of thanking them for their collaboration, Pope Francis will meet with the WYD Lisbon 2023 Volunteers in Algés, at 16:30pm.
From 1 to 4 August all Pilgrims will be able to visit the City of Joy. On 1, 3 and 4 August, the City of Joy will be open between 9:00 am and 16:00pm. On 2 August, the Vocation Fair can be visited between 9:00am and 22:00pm, while the Park of Forgiveness will be open between 9:00am and 20:00pm.
Between 2 and 4 August, the Rise UP Encounters will take place between 9:30 am and 12:30pm. These meetings will take place across the Host Dioceses.
Throughout the week there will be more than 480 events taking place in more than 100 different spaces for the Youth Festival. From 1 to 6 August, all day long, except for the moments when the Central Events will take place, young people and citizens will be able to enjoy these moments.
